You are watching: Ncis: new orleans season 5 episode 23
What the team uncovered through all of their journey tonight starts off with this: South Ossetia is not the sort of place you really want to be. There are people around who constantly want you dead and, beyond there, are also a number of people who just want anything dead. For Pride and Lasalle, this came about survival. Not only that, it became about trying to bring the fight to Walker rather than anything else.

The longer that Walker survives, the more Apollyon comes after the remainder of the NCIS team — even back in the Big Easy. Pride knows that, and that is a big part of a sense of urgency. That’s what drives him. Unfortunately, what he didn’t think would come about tonight was Walker finding Pride himself at the end of the episode and pointing a gun at his head. That’s going to be where the premiere picks up — Dwayne’s in yet another life-or-death position, and he’s going to be reliant on the remainder of his team in order to find a way to make it to the other side. We don’t think that we’re going to lose Pride at the end of all of this, but you never know…
What we saw from much of the team back at home was an all-hands-on-deck approach to trying to make sure that there was justice by any means necessary. That even included when the going got tough, and when it didn’t seem like there was really any way to get through. Patton, for example, had a challenge with encryption, and in general, Hannah is preparing for the worst. She knows what Apollyon is capable of and how much damage they can cause.

Also, and did we mention that Isler may not make it out of this okay? Lasalle tried to get him to hang on in the closing seconds.
This was an action-packed thriller, and a kickoff to what’s going to be an exceptional finale with the characters in a desperate state, trying to do everything possible in order to ensure that they can pick up the pieces. This was nuts from start to finish, but nuts in the best possible way and we don’t know how anyone gets to the other side of this in just one episode. It’s gonna be tough…
