I"ve owned my 2006 Wrangler X for 7 years .Time to ask this ?I suppose it is a TJ from what I read here . I know the J is Jeep but what does the T stand for ?
Actually your wrong on the J. They are just designations for types of jeeps. There is no meaning for CJ, YJ, TJ, JK.

Correction: CJ was a Civilian Jeep. All other names do not have a meaning. Please google if you don"t believe me.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_Wrangler

There are odd code names for just about all vehicles..Mustang, FOX, SN95 (that came out in late 93 as a 94 model), S197 that came out in 2005.Camaro Z28 - started out in 1967 as an option code and was adopted in 1968 as the submodel.Lots of others...BTW, don"t trust Wikipedia as your only source of information, literally anyone can update the wiki with whatever they like..

The "J" in CJ/YJ/TJ was the designation for the 1/4-ton 4X4 "Jeep Universal" chassis produced at the original factory in Toledo OH. The C/Y/J was the individual model designator. This same factory was owned successively by Willys-Overland, Kaiser, AMC, Chrysler, and Daimler-Chrysler.The JK was the first of a new series produced in the new factory about three quarters of a mile from the original. Tbhe new series designator is "K" and the "J" was the first model in the new series.

TJ = Today"s JeepJust like how CJ = "Civilian Jeep" and YJ = "Your Jeep"And I like all the spins of JK. They"re pretty funny.

So if this is the case then the next model after JK should end with K? It can"t be KK, cuz that is too close to the Kardashians initials (very annoying), and also close to a group of people that wear a lot of white. So that would be bad. Definitely gonng have to skip that letter.AK wouldn"t work because gun lobyists would have a field day with that one.BK? burger king? nope, not that one.how about OK?
