For some reason the file 'client_settings.ini' inside 'User/yourname/AppData/Local/SWTOR/swtor/settings' directory gets rewritten. You can go and manually input the correct resolution to the file like this for a 1920x1080 screen resolution:

Height = 1080

Width = 1920

Make sure you have the most updated drivers both amd and nvidia released new drivers on the 29th. If it's nvidia make sure you go to your process manager and kill any nvidia processes running before installing the new driver.

The easiest way I found to fix this was to open up the file:

"client_settings.ini" inside "User/yourname/AppData/Local/SWTOR/swtor/settings"

Editing the height and width within this file to match the resolution of the monitor you are using to run swtor on. You can find this by right clicking on your background and selecting display options on windows.

Then save the file. Close it. Right click on the file and select Properties then set the file to read only. Then when Swtor is booted up it cannot rewrite the file back to 800 x 600 and so runs the game at the resolution that you set.

I have WIN10 and play it in windows mode with no issues. Did you update your drivers and did a clean install of the drivers? I know I had to reboot twice before my graphics took affect on my PC.

Hello TriumphantReaper

Here are a few links that may be helpful with common issues with the game:

All account and billing problems must be resolved through calling their customer support hotline.

Methods of contacting BioWare's official support if you continue to have a problem:

It is recommended that you don't post on the Customer Service Forums: the customer service reps don't read them and a post a while ago by the official BioWare Community Team recommends not depending on them for the time being. However, old posts still have good recommendations for fixing certain problems.
