Cyborg brought a reputation as a fearsome striker into the fight. With 26 knockout victories on her record, Cyborg was the type of fighter known for blitzing her opponents and swarming them with a deluge of massive strikes. Holm style was that of a tactician. An accomplished boxer, she preferred to counterstrike. Her game was to take what her opponents gave her and look for openings to exploit. She had massive success early in her career with that approach. She ran up a 10-0 record, but she had fallen on tough times entering UFC 219. Her record in her in four previous fights was 1-3. During that stretch she lost the bantamweight title and dropped a decision to Germaine de Randamie in her bid to become the first UFC women"s featherweight champion.
Ahead of tonight"s UFC 222, where Cyborg defends her title against former Invicta FC women"s bantamweight champion Yana Kunitskaya, watch the full fight between Cyborg and Holm.
UFC 222 takes place on Saturday, March 3 from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
